About ME

Richard Bradley, Licensed Tattooist since 2014

I was born and raised in Montpelier Vermont. With over a decade of tattooing experience under my belt, I've honed my craft, specializing in fine line black and gray as well as black and gray realism. In 2020, I launched my own studio, “Orichinal Arts” and since then, I've never looked back. What fuels my continued passion for tattooing is always learning something new, the people I get to meet, and most of all the privilege of turning people’s visions into reality.

FAQs

  • To start you will need to fill out my tattoo inquiry form. To be clear I cannot accept everybody as I am a solo artist with limited availability. If I feel we would be a good fit and our vision for the piece aligns I will reach out within 72 hours with the next steps. Depending on the tattoo some may require further consultation. Once everything is squared away I will email you my calendar where you can book your appointment. Most of my design work is done the day/night before the appointment. Small design adjustments can be made at the beginning of a session. Any large or drastic changes will require further consideration and rescheduling.

  • $200/hr for the time it takes to tattoo. I do not charge for the time spent designing the tattoo. I also do not require a deposit fee.

  • I accept cash, venmo, debit/credit, and afterpay. I do not offer financing, the tattoo must be paid for in full after each session. If you do not have the money to pay for the piece all at once try signing up for afterpay. They will pay the full amount up front you you can pay them back over the next 6 weeks interest free.

  • When filling out the tattoo inquiry form I need you to be as descriptive as possible. Please try to avoid solely describing your tattoo with subjective adjectives like “a pretty flower”. “A black and grey realism tattoo the size of palm on my forearm” is much more helpful. The main thing I’m looking for is to establish an overall idea and theme for what you're envisioning. Reference pictures are incredibly helpful in understanding your preferred style. You can also send actual photos of the subject matter, such as statues, landscapes, pets, sketches, etc. If you're having trouble finding reference images, don't worry I can help you bring your vision to life.

  • In short - No. There are several reasons for this. The main one being it's just not right. The person who got that tattoo chose that artist for a reason. It likely holds significant meaning for them, and the artist put effort into creating an original design. Asking an artist to copy someone else's work is disrespectful to both the artist you've approached and the original tattoo artist. It's unethical and looked down upon in the tattooing community. While we can draw inspiration from other artists' designs, your tattoo will be original, crafted specifically for you in the artist's style.

  • My advice is to get a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast, and stay hydrated. Feel free to bring snacks/drinks, and a iPad or headphones to distract yourself. Wear loose clothing for easy access to the tattoo area and don't wear anything you'd mind getting ink on. Does it hurt? Depends on who you are asking. I’d say its more so uncomfortable than painful. Pain varies depending on the body part and your pain tolerance. Search up a tattoo pain chart to get an idea of the most painful and least painful parts of the body.

  • One guest is welcome to accompany you during your appointment. More than one will be allowed with permission. My studio is located in a quiet business suite and I ask that all visitors remain respectful of the Woolen Mills quiet setting
